bleach 1989 - mint a borítója: az első, a nyers, a sikoltozós, kedvenc a negative creep és a big cheese (1992-es reissue-n volt rajta), illetve a number one szerelmes szám a világon szerintem: a love buzz. szerintem minden idők egyik legjobb debüt-albuma (együtt az ugyanakkor megjelent pretty hate machine-nel a nin-től).

nevermind 1991 - a popalbum. lecsiszolva, tökéletesítve butch vig által, akinek akkor még nem volt meg az együttese, a garbage, így addig is producálta a nevermindot. érzitek. instant klasszik, ezt mindenki tudja. aki esetleg az első számig jutott, talán hallgassa végig. polly, lithium, drain you, valamint AZ ÖSSZES.

in utero 1993 - a szétesés előtti, a csúcs utáni. tele tökéletes számokkal: rape me, serve the servants, heart-shaped box, all apologies, penniroyal tea. az egész annyira tökéletes. kurt öngyilkossága nyilván más fényt vetett rá. de abból a szempontból mindegy, hogy a zene tökély.

és az egyik legjobb élő album EVÖR: unplugged in new york. ENNYIKEH.

ő egy belga fiatalember, akinek az apukája ruandai. én még soha nem hallottam róla, ez az első dolog, amit láttam/hallottam tőle, pedig 2000-től zenél. a neve a maestro szó szótagjainak a felcseréléséből jön. 2007-8 körül indult be a karrierje, 2012-ben jött az első album, a cheese, idén májusban pedig kijött a második album, a racine carrée első single-je, ez az alábbi szám, a papaoutai. a francia nyelvterületeken már régebb óta sikeres a srác, remélem, a többi helyen is befut, pompás ugyanis, nagyon tehetséges.

elképesztően csodás ez a videó, azt kell mondjam. kicsit a solange-videó ugrott be róla.

tehát ott tartottunk, hogy az 'n sync 2002-ben "ideiglenes szünetet" jelentett be a boybandezésben (WE WERE ON A BREAK!) - ez legfőképp justin szólótörekvéseinek volt köszönhető, illetve úgy érezte, hogy kiéggett. aaww.. igazából csak 2007-ben, lance mondta ki hivatalosan, hogy ők akkor most már tényleg feloszlottak. több, mint 50 millió eladott lemez, 3 album, a celebrity-világturné és számtalan díj után A FIÚBANDA nem készült több szívfacsaró lemezt kiadni egy ideig. (szomorú év ez a fiúbandák történetében: a black and blue (2000) album után a BSB is ebben az évben jelentette be, hogy szünetelnek.)

2003-ban még a hírek szerint még el akartak kezdeni egy új albumon dolgozni, de ebből nem lett semmi. később még egy-két jótékonysági koncertre összeálltak, de a 2010-es The collection című best of album volt az utolsó kiadvány, újdonságok nélkül. sajnos lekéstem a cikkel az aktualitást: augusztusban már azt susogták, hogy az MTV video awards-ra ismét összeáll egy szám erejéig az 'n sync, és ez meg is történt: nem úgy, mint a take that, ők tényleg csak a móka kedvéért álltak össze (nyilván ehhez semmi köze nem volt annak, hogy justin 3. szólóanyaga épp, hogy elkészült, és indul a giga világturné...).

de maradjunk még 2002-ben: justinnak ebben az évben már meg is jelent az első szólóanyaga justified címmel (tudjátok, ennek a borítóján néz ki úgy, mint ryan phillippe :)

justin a nyálpopból kicsit jobban az RnB felé igyekezett nyitni, nem véletlen, hogy az album producerei között volt timbaland és a the neptunes is (pharell williams, korunk egyik zenei szuperhősének együttese, legutóbbi nagy dobása ugye a szexistavideós blurred lines robin thicke-kel és a get lucky a daft punkkal. van a srácnak érzéke a slágerekhez, no.), de belekontárkodott a förtelmes p. diddy és mario winans is (ezt ismerhetitek tőle, nagyjából egyslágeres énekes srác). ja, és egy szinte ismeretlen énekesnő, bizonyos janet jackson is vokálozik az albumon; magát az albumot azonban maga justin írta. 

turnézni is indult az egyesült államokba, méghozzá az ugyanígy 2002-ben új albummal, a stripped-del jelentkező christina aguilerával, akivel még a mickey mouse clubból ismerték egymást. érdekes, hogy a turné előzenekara a black eyed peas volt (akikhez 2000-ben csatlakozott csak fergie, majd ilyen felállásban készítették el az elephunk albumot 2003-ban. ennek az óriásslágerében és a bandának áttörést jelentő dalban, a where is the love?-ban közreműködött justin). 2003-ban már egyedül indult turnéra, és közben a meki I'm lovin' it jingle-jét is felénekelte mellékesen. e turné állomásainak nagy része európai, bár van 1-2 usa-beli és ausztrál is.

a justified albumon vannak justin máig is legnépszerűbb (és tök szexi - bár a következőalbum szexibb, ez vitathatatlan) slágerei: a többszörös díjnyertes cry me a river, a like i love you, a senorita és a rock your body is. az albumot a kritikusok és a rajongó lányok is egyöntetűen pozitívan fogadták - nem véletlenül, hiszen justinék elég jól keverik a fogyasztható popot a nem bling-blinges RnB-vel, kihagyták a béna autotune-t, lehet rajta sírni is, de főleg táncolható, énekelhető és nagyon szexi, mint justin maga. egyszóval látszik belőle, hogy akik összerakták, tehetséges srácok. 

az én kedvencem az albumról a második single-ként kiadott cry me a river (MINDEN BIZONNYAL egyedül vagyok ezzel), amibe justin beleírta a britney-vel való szakítás fájdalmas emlékét (bár ezt volt, hogy tagadta), ami miatt szegény jól lehet sajnálni. a klipben és a producálásban is részt vett timbaland, és van benne szinti, gregoriánra hajazó dallamok, fájdalom és szexi, szomorúszemű justin. sikerrecept! és forgatott hozzá egy klipet francis lawrence rendezésében, aki dolgozott britney-vel is, és olyan filmeket rendezett azóta, mint a constantine, a legenda vagyok és mostanában az éhezők viadala-sorozat. nyertek is vele több videódíjat.

a super bowl és a filmek

ahogy az első részben szó volt róla, justin 2004-ben fellépett janettel a super bowl half time show-jában, és a végén (véletlenül?) letépte a janet mellét takaró ruharészt, 140 millió tévénéző szeme láttára. később mindketten bocsánatot kértek, justin persze még bocsánatot is úgy kér, hogy azóta a "wardrobe malfunction" mint fogalom bevonult a poptörténelembe. ki is tiltották volna őket a 2004-es grammy átadóról, ha nem kérnek bocsánatot, és hát szomorú lett volna otthagyni a két grammyt (legjobb férfi popszám - cry me a river és legjobb popalbum - justified), amit az öt jelölésből díjra váltott...

ekkoriban kezdett jobban a filmek felé fordulni következő album helyett, és a 2005-ös edison után (ami nem vert különösebben nagy visszhangot annak ellenére, hogy morgan freeman és kevin spacey voltak a filmben a partnerei) 2006-ban kijött az alpha dog, ami egy jól sikerült, fiatal srácokról (meg drogokról és fegyverekről) szóló film, amiben justin egy naiv, béndzsa srácot játszik, meglepetésre nagyon jól. a filmbe rengeteg népszerű színészt gereblyéztek össze, játszik benne Emile Hirsch, Olivia Wilde, Amanda Seyfried, Sharon Stone és Bruce Willis is.

justin karakterben - innen

ugyanebben az évben kijött a káosz birodalma és a lánc című két filmje is, utóbbiban morgan freeman és cristina ricci mellett játszik. 2007-ben pedig a harmadik shrekben ő volt artie, fiona unokatesójának a hangja.

és ne felejtsük, hogy 2001-ben ő játszotta elton this train don't stop there anymore című számához forgatott klipben magát a fiatal elton johnt. MENŐ.

mindeközben, még 2003-ban justin összejött cameron diazzal, akivel 2006-ig jártak - ekkor került be justin zenei vendégként a saturday night live-ba, ahol azóta is szokott vendégeskedni és hülye jelenetekben részt venni. később a vicci bad teacher című filmben játszottak együtt, két évvel ezelőtt.

a második - FutureSex/LoveSounds - mindig csak a szex (full album)
 

2006-ig kellett várni a második szólóalbumra, ekkor érkezett a FutureSex/LoveSounds. ekkorra justin már az idióta boyband - fiatalsrác dizájnról rég átállt a férfiasabb, elegánsabb vonalra, elkezdett zakókat és kalapokat viselni, végleg levágatta a haját, és mivel a zene sem volt többé a nyálpop, a közönség már jóval szélesebbé vált, mint az 'n sync, vagy akár az első szóló idején. az albumot ismét timbaland producálta, de ez már nem olyan szigorúan popRnB, mint a justified. közreműködött többek között will.i.am a black eyed peas-ből, és a legendás producer, rick rubin is (elképesztő bandákkal dolgozott együtt, ő a def jam kiadó egyik alapítója, jelenleg náluk van rihanna és kanye west, hogy csak két produkciót említsek), plusz énekel snoop dogg is a lemezen például. 

ezen az albumon szerepel a sexyback, a my love és a what goes around... comes around is (és a személyes kedvencem, a damn girl - itt szuperszexi élő sztriptíz verzió. ezen a dalon tisztán kitapintható a justin által az albummal kapcsolatban többször emlegetett prince-hatás). a futuresex/lovesounds-ot a rolling stone magazin 46.-ként válogatta be a kétezres évek legjobb albumai közé - ezzel justin végleg kilépett a boyband-volt-énekese státuszból, és rendes, valamirevaló szólóénekessé és dalszerzővé vált.

ekkor szakított cameron diazzal, a what goes around... comes around klip kapcsán pedig hírbe hozták scarlett johannsonnal, de a kapcsolatot mindketten tagadták. a klip egy majd' tízperces kisfilm, amit samuel bayer rendezett (aki többek között nirvana, manson, garbage, blink 182, green day, cranberries és smashing pumpkins klippekért és dokumentumfilmekért felelős). ezzel a klippel is elvitt egy mtv video díjat két jelölésből.

dö big justin timberlake cikksorozat - part 1 - az 'n sync

pár éve már az IGÉNYES közönség is kénytelen bevallani, hogy az 'n sync (vagy *NSYNC) boybandben startoló justin timberlake szólómunkája nem szar. sőt, egyes pillanatai tényleg egészen magasra teszik a lécet, vagy ugorják meg, attól függően, hogy hogy állsz hozzá a popzenéhez.

a legeleje

justin 1981-ben született tennessee-ben, az államban, amelynek nashville a központja, a country hazája, wescók, por, kalap. talán ennek köszönhető a hírhedt farmerdressz-fiaskó, amikor akkori barátnőjével, britney-vel az éra igazi álompárjaként összeöltöztek a 2001-es American Music Awards-ra.

de ez később volt, vissza az elejére: ekkor a kis justin még csak épp megismerkedett britney-vel, amikor a floridai mickey mouse clubban kezdtek együtt szerepelni, christina aguilerával és IGEN, ryan goslinggal együtt. a csini arcát és klassz hangját egy videón kipécéző menedzser miatt a legfiatalabb tagja lett az 1995-ben induló 'n sync fiúzenekarnak.

a bandát lou pearlman szponzorálta és menedzselte, aki a konkurens backstreet boys-t is összerántotta két évvel előtte, 1993-ban. (később kiderült, hogy a férfi a tengernyi pénzét piramisjátékból szerezte, jelenleg is börtönben ül, elvileg 2029-ben szabadul... hopi. 2002-ben például az akkor 14 éves aaron, a backstreet boys-os nick öccse jelentette fel.)
európában ekkor már évek óta csúcsra volt járatva a téma: 89-es alakulás és az 1990-es első albumuk (take that and party) óta szupersztár, majd az 1993-ban (everything changes) és 1995-ben (nobody else) megjelent albumokkal pedig gyakorlatilag hipersztár take that szerepelt minden egyes lány szobájának a falán szerte a kontinensen. nekem is. naná.

via (nem bírom megállni, hogy hozzáfűzzem, hogy a képaláírás "a banda fénykorából" nem igaz, ez a kezdeti állapotokat mutatja, a fénykor inkább a 2-3. albumkor volt. FYI.)

nem tűnt tehát rossz ötletnek az egyesült államokban is összeszedni egy hasonló tematikára alapozott csapatot. az őket megelőző együttes, a klasszikus, mai értelemben vett boybandek alfája és omegája, a new kids on the block az 1990-es csúcs után 1994-ben feloszlott, így a piaci rés csak arra várt, hogy valaki helyes kis fiúkákkal betömködje.
az 'n syncet jó érzékkel németországban launcholták, hiszen a kilencvenes évek popzenei központja ott volt (és a eurodance gyakorlatilag összes jelentős szereplője német volt). az is emellett szólt, hogy az 1993-ban beindított backsktreet boys úgy tűnt, hogy minden, fiúbandának learatható sikert szépen be is húzott az egyesült államokban (a debüt-album 1996-ban jelent meg, és TIZENNÉGYSZERES (!!!) platina lett, mai állás szerint 10.120.000 db album kelt el a világon azóta. minden idők egyik legsikeresebb első albuma lett ezzel.)

a bandát chris kirkpatrick (mivel a backstreet boys-ba nem került bele), a kerekarcú, kecskeszakállas srác kezdte el összerakni lou-val, először a baráti körbe tartozó joey fatone-t hívták (a másik kecskeszakállas srác), majd pearlman ajánlására hívták a mickey clubból justint, aki pedig club-os barátját, jc-t ajánlotta be. viszont kellett egy basszus is, így egy Jason Galasso nevű srácot találtak, aki viszont pár próba és fellépés után kilépett, mert nem akart tiniidol lenni... (sean smith justinról szóló könyvében a szerző szerint ezt mondta jason: "i don't think 'n sync is happening". biztos azóta átgondolta...)
ekkor elkezdtek meghallgatni egy csomó embert, végül justin utolsó esélyként felhívta a volt énektanárját, aki akkori egyik tanítványát, lance bass-t ajánlotta neki (nyilván a neve miatt hahaha). az akkor 16 éves srácot nagyjából egyből bevették a bandába (a 14 éves justint 2 évvel verte zsenge kora ellenére). az együttes neve az in sync (szinkronban) a tagok nevének utolsó betűjéből áll össze, tudtátok? így: JustiN, ChriS, JoeY, JasoN, JC. illetve az urban legend szerint justin anyukája mondta, hogy milyen jól szinkronban van a hangjuk a srácoknak. így hát elkezdtek nonsztop gyakorolni floridában.

reálisnak tűnt, hogy a boyband-bizniszben van pénz, így 1997-ben megjelent az együttes nevét viselő debüt-album. lou nem bízta a véletlenre: a BSB és NKOTB menedzserét, johnny wright-ot kérte fel, hogy vegye szárnyai alá a fiúkat. ő mostanában pl a jonas brothers-t menedzseli egyébként.

az első single, az i want you back nagyot robbant európában, mindenben megfelelt a kor pop-követelményeinek. végre jött a TT folytatása (akik 1996-ban, nem sokkal Robbie kiválása után feloszlottak), és az európában annyira még nem beindult BSB mellé is elfért, bár ők is - nyilván - pont ugyanolyan popzenét nyomtak, de hát a smack-leves haj a szexi justinon... a tearin' up my heart és here we go single megjelenése után németországban kijött az album, és egész európában sikere lett.
a wikipédia szerint vincent de giorgio, az RCA records kiadó munkatársa egy BUDAPESTI koncerten figyelt fel az együttesre, és ajánlott nekik szerződést. hmm.
mindenesetre az öt amerikai srácnak beindult a karrierje az egyesült államokban is, 1998-ban jelent meg a tearin' up my heart single, és egyből a billboard top 100-ban indított, de az album csak 85-ik lett. ekkor viszont a mickey mouse clubban a BSB-koncert helyett (brian szívműtétje miatt) beugróként az 'n sync játszott, és pár hétre rá be is költöztek a top tíz album közé.

a 2000-es második album, a no strings attached már a sony-nál jelent meg, és egy nap alatt több, mint EGYMILLIÓ példány kelt el belőle, aztán 2,42 millió egy hét alatt. hoppá. az albumhoz tartozott egy rendes, világ körüli szuperturné is, show-val, DVD-n kiadott turné háttéranyaggal, és Live From Madison Square Garden felvétellel. ezen az albumon már számos híres művész is közreműködött, pl left eye a tlc-ből a space cowboy-ban, vagy pl richard marx, aki a this i promise you-t írta (ő énekelte a SZÍVBEMARKOLÓ right here waiting című számot, szóval szívbemarkolásból elég jó), illetve több számot már jc chasez írt, nem csak énekelt. ő később olyanokkal dolgozott együtt, mint a basement jaxx, a girls aloud, és szólóalbumot is adott ki. és érdekes fact: örökbefogadott kisfiú volt.

2001-ben a super bowl (az amerikaifoci nemzeti döntője, évente milliókat szögez a tévé elé)
halftime show-jában léptek fel, az aerosmith-szel, britney-vel, mindenkivel, ez gyakorlatilag a csúcsok csúcsa. egyesek szerint az egyik legjobb halftime show volt evör. akkor pont tényleg szépen összefoglalta az egész kilencvenes évek vége popot. (később justin még egyszer fellépett itt, janet jacksonnal 2004-ben, amikor letépte a melléről a cuccot, tudjátok. 6:16-kor jön justin, 7:29-kor ránt.)





ekkor már nem ragaszkodtak annyira klasszikus lassú, vagy épp popos, nyálas, ugyanolyan recept szerint készült slágerekhez. az albumon az r 'n' b vonal is megjelenik, ld it makes me ill című szám. egyébként a középtempós pop marad irányvonalként, megfejelve azért a kötelező szívbemarkolással, amit az imént említettem. a dalok nagy részét már justin énekelte, plusz beatboxolt is. illetve az autotune korai csíráját is elvetették a digital get down című számban, pedig mondjuk justinnak nem igazán volt szüksége arra, hogy korrigálják a hangját.

a celebrity album első single-je, a pop című dal már nem átallja az őket is világsztárrá emelt popgépezetet kritizálni. ekkorra justin levágatta a haját és már végképp ő lett a banda vezetője ének-szempontból, illetve az eddigieknél még több számot producáltak ő és jc. a jól bevált receptet persze azért megtartották. a bye bye bye is egy nőkidobós-szám, a pop a mocskos popról szól, a single girlfriend sem színtiszta pop, hanem sokkal inkább r 'n' b. bár az albumot szerették, sikere azért nem tudta megközelíteni a no strings attached sikerét.
a tematikát egyébként minden bizonnyal az is meghatározta, hogy míg britney-vel jártak (1999-2002), rengetek pletyka és sztori keringett róluk, és a szupersztársághoz tartozó médiafigyelem követte őket mindenhová. a szakítást justin már szólóban, a cry me a riverben dolgozta fel.
